Geneva Books has been in existence since 1993,
catering to the devotional and educational needs of Christians ever
since.
The business has been operated from their home at Tokomaru (and at
least a couple of other locations) and they have also sold their
merchandise at book fairs, Christian camps and through their
previous website.
The titles and items vary widely and are, by and large,
cross-denominational. There is a fairly strong homeschooling theme
to many of their titles but Geneva Books do cater to a much wider
clientele also.
Another theme of many of the books they hold is of a Reformed
Christian viewpoint, a natural by-product of the De Jonge's own
Christian outlook, being long-time members of the Palmerston North
Reformed Church.
Parenting books typically take
you to a point where you can 'launch' your children successfully
into the world. Some of us look forward to that event with the sense
of that will be the point where we say 'job done' - but you never
really stop being a parent!
In the complex social, geographical, vocational and property-valued
landscape that we inhabit parenting has never had more challenges to
maintain healthy relationships with our adult children. Jim and
Elyse will show you how to be the best parent you can to your adult
child.
Parents often assume that their job as a parent is complete when
their children reach adulthood. If you have a child who has returned
home to live, you've discovered that's not true.
Even if your adult child has successfully launched into adulthood,
you continue to be a parent to them. In You Never Stop Being a
Parent, Jim Newheiser and Elyse Fitzpatrick ground you in guidance
from God's Word and remind you that your relationship with your
adult child can only be as deep and meaningful as your relationship
with God. Paperback.
